Well… One week later of been installed on the windshield, the plastic recover of the metal tube inside, start to scrach (I think it caused by the sun and bad kind of plastic)
I’m very disapointed with it. I think at first time that it will be a good mount for my nuvi 770 but it doesn’t. I bought it because I didn’t find a RAM mount for my nuvi.
The only way that the plastic don’t scratch, is don’t turn the tube. It need to be completely straight with any curve. If not, the sun will scrath it.
Why 2 stars? well… Is large and solid windshield mount. But it need to be re-design to get a better plastic recover.

This windshield mount is great i’m a professional truck driver, i use my gps mount 3 weeks a month it works on every truck i drive, and i drive alot of different trucks. I have the grip mount also, it came with my gps it works but not on every truck liks this mount. If you are going to buy just 1 mount i highly recomend this mount

The cool thing about this is the positioning of the GPS. The longer goose neck makes it easy to adjust for good viewing. So far so good on it staying where I put it.

This mount looked like a great way to deal with my extra-deep dashboard and extra-short arms.
Unfortunately, having such a long tube gives way too much flexion. The GPS unit vibrated even at low speeds. If anyone has figured out how to address the problem, I’d love to know what to do. Until then, I’ll use the suction mount that I also purchased here: ARKON GN115 Garmin Nuvi Travelmount Mini Windshield / Dash Mount
