The Garmin Nuvi was purchased as a gift for our adult children moving to Europe for two years. It will be used mostly by them as pedestrians, so this model will be ideal and can be easily updated with local maps as needed. What a useful item and easier to manage than folded maps and tiny guidebooks.

The Garmin nuvi 1370T is all that it is billed to be. I’ve used a number of features so far and all have worked perfectly. I’ll be traveling to Europe in a few weeks and I’m looking forward to using the maps of France and the city maps of Paris and NIce, etc. It is my hope that the Garmin works as well in France as it has here in the US.

I bought this item new to give as a gift. When my friend opened it up he found that someone had already written their information on the product registration. He called Garmin to receive help and was told by them that the product was already registered to the person who’s info was listed on the registration card in the packaging. I am really dissapointed that we paid for a new item and was sent a used one. The packaging did not list that it was used and looked new. This item was given as a gift to someone out of the country, so returning the item to get a new replacement will cost a lot in shipping. The whole thing makes me mad!

I bought this unit for a trip to Europe. Another person in our group bought the Europe maps for their older nuvi and once there, neither unit would come up, mine displayed “loading maps”, then a bunch of copyright info and never came up. Theirs wouldn’t find any satellites. So both units were basically boat anchors for both vehicles we were using in our travels. I tried all the reset stuff and all and the results were always the same, they just didn’t work. So even if I could get another unit, I am not going to Europe anytime again soon, so I wouldn’t have any confidence it would work over there.
