It takes about 1 hr to do 30 MB of pics… Basecamp is buggy and freezes even on the best of PC…It seem cool and it is. But I would not have spent my money if I had known it was so painful to use. To bad, great idea, the doesn’t work well.

I wish I had seen the other review before I purchased my subscription. Leaving tomorrow, but thought, “how long can it take to download a few megabytes?”. Well it can take a VERY long time from Garmin. The first download went fairly quickly to 1.8% (not speedy, but perhaps acceptable, but then it just stop going anywhere (still says it’s downloading. The others are stuck at 0%.
Don’t fall for this unless you have the patience of Job (and then necessary time). It is unusably slow. Worse yet, I can’t find any way to contact their support and insist upon my money back for an unusable product.
