This charger doesn’t work in the Nuvi 780. At least I couldn’t get it to work. Plug it in and the GPS tells you to plug to a computer. The GPS end is used for computer hookup. I think you need something Comparable to Garmin 010-10747-03, with a wider plug on the GPS end.

Why spend extra bucks on other similar products as long as the purpose is served, i.e. to power on the Garmin GPS.
It is working so far. So, no complaints. By the way, I realized afterward that the original Garmin Car charger could be fixed by changing the blown-out fuse, which costs less than $2 for a pack of 4! So, I changed the fuse and the old car charger is also working! So, now I have a backup car charger (this one) in my car always! Nice?

Excellent, even better than the one pictured because it has the curly, stretch-out cord
instead of just a straight cord. Fits on edge of Garmin instead of the back like the one
that came with it, which makes for easier mounting on the dash.
