  1. The mount attaches to both my bike and my 60Cx fine. I have no fears of it falling off. The problem is when I hit a bump, the gps turns off. Yes, this is a road bike, not trail. For example the bump when you go onto and off of small bridges causes this problem. I think you have to buy a gps made for biking.

  2. I have been a Garmin e-trex Vista C user for a few years. I recently purchased the GPS 60cx, a far superior product. I use the handhelds mostly for cycling. I am an avid mountain bike and road cyclist. For planning road cycling trips, the GPS 60 CX is a must have tool. Great at planning trips and the larger screen, faster response time, as well increased memory make it a superior tool compared to the Vista C. I am planning a self-contained bicycled tour this fall starting in Oneonta, NY along the Delaware River south through NY, PA, & NJ with the final destination being South Jersey. The 60CX is capable of carrying all the maps, routes & waypoints needed for the trip.

I’ll still use the vista C for mountain biking where its small size and power is sufficient for exploring trails in the Million acres of the pinelands South Jersey where I live!

  3. If your bicycle has large handlebars, then be forewarned…this product does not fit on handlebars over 1″ diameter. Also, it does not work for the Garmin Dakota. If you have a Dakota, buy the one from the Garmin website.

  5. Had mine for about six weeks. I found it broken on the floor of my car one morning. When securing the unit , a significant amount of force is needed to turn the lever to adhere the suction cup to the glass. This amount of force is apparently to much for the main frame and over time…. device failure. The gps unit was not mounted at the time so no additional weight contributed to the mounting bracket failing. Seems like a weak design… until some manufacturing changes are made to make it stronger I can’t say I would recommend this product.
