  1. I don’t know what kind of connector this thing has, but it doesn’t fit my Garmin Nuvi 255 GPS.

If you need a connector with USB power, this isn’t it.

  2. Amazon showed a picture of the compatible items that we could use with the Garmin Nuvi 260W, and this was one of the items. We assumed that if Amazon showed this item with the Garmin that we were purchasing and the title of this item was ‘Car Power Adapter Charger for Garmin Nuvi’, that we were buying the right item. We didn’t return the item, because the postage to return it would almost exceed the cost of the item. We were very disappointing in how this was advertised. It should list which Nuvi products it’s compatible with. Now we’re left to just through the adapter out.

Update: Amazon refunded our money on this. I’m sure that this is a good adapter, but make sure that the adapter is the right one for your GPS.

  3. Needed a spare auto power cord for my Garmin GPS As I travel quite a bit by air and rental cars. Got tired of removing the original cord from my personal car so I purchased this one as a supplement. Works very well in all the vehicles I have rented.

  4. My Garmin nuvi 760 screw thing which holds the fuse kept popping out which was quite frustrating and eventually got lost.

I saw this posted and based on the past reviews I decided to purchase…. so far it works well and most of all does not unscrew – so it appears to be dependable.

    Delivery was earlier than promise.

If you need a replacement this will do the job at a fraction of the cost of the orginal garmin car charger which may have the same loose screw problem.

  5. Bought this to replace an original Garmin charger that had fallen apart. This charger doesn’t do anything fancy, but it worked exactly right – no fuss. It was exactly what I was looking for.
